Founded in 1926 by the late Carl H. Behnke, Behnke Warehouse Incorporated (BWI) has grown from a single, 5,000-square-foot building into 41 buildings and almost 1.2 million square feet of storage space.

Our warehouses are located throughout the Battle Creek area. With approximately 650,000 square feet of prime food-grade storage space, both long-and-short-term storage arrangements are available. Most buildings are of steel construction with insulated sidewalls and ceilings, and a majority of them reach 40 feet in height.

Most sites are heated, sprinkler equipped, and have their own security systems. The remaining square footage is office space and high-bay storage. Canadian National Railroad services many of our buildings for rail-drop and transfers.

Our past successes can be attributed to providing the kind of service our customers expect and satisfying their needs. Carl H.
